Also known as Mouse Melon, Sandita. Heirloom vegetable from Mexico with small mottled green fruits to 40mm, taste and used like a tangy lemony cucumber or gherkin, looks like a miniature oval watermelon. Used in stir fries, eaten fresh in salads and good for pickling. Sow in spring, slow to start, but very hardy once established, drought tolerant, withstands pests and disease, vine will grow to 3m. May self sow following year.
