Hardy perennial shrub that thrives in well-drained soil and full-sun but can tolerate partial shade. Drought-resistant and can grow in poor soils. Used in traditional herbal medicine for digestive issues, easing menstrual pain, and promoting relaxation. Repels insects. Sow in early spring, after the last frost, or in autumn for optimal growth. Sow direct on soil surface, 20+ days average to germination.
Space plants about 60 cm apart, as they can grow up to 1.5 metres tall. Mugwort spreads easily, so it’s best to monitor its growth or plant in containers to prevent it from overtaking other plants.
