Meadowsweet thrives in moist, rich, alkaline soil and prefers full sun to partial shade. It grows up to 1.2 metres tall, with creamy white, fragrant flowers blooming in late spring to summer.
Meadowsweet is traditionally used to ease digestion, reduce inflammation, and relieve headaches or joint pain, thanks to its salicylic acid content, similar to aspirin. It’s commonly brewed in teas for its soothing effects.
Sow in spring or autumn, spacing plants 30-60 cm apart.
