Rattlesnake bean is an excellent climber with a long harvest. Green pods, streaked with purple, stringless when young and boasts a rich full flavour. Pods can be eaten young fresh or allowed to dry on the vine for a harvest of beige and brown speckled seeds that are delicious in soups. Copes well with heat. 75 days fresh, 90 days dried.
